Fashion & Music - Jessie J Wears Hannah Marshall in New Price Tag Video

Jessie J in Hannah Marshall Clothing
The UK's leading vocalist Jessie J recently unveiled  the new video for her second single release Price Tag, sporting an all in one signature black ensemble from rising British Fashion designer Hannah Marshall's latest collection.  The video, directed by Emil Nava is a tongue in cheek parody featuring larger than life objects and artefact's symbolising the materialistic world that we have all in someway succumb to whether consciously or unconsciously. Nava himself commented that he wanted to show, "things that are larger than life, but don’t really matter. It’s sort of like this hyper-real, sort of toy world with Jessie bringing a fashion edge to it.”

For the record and in my opinion, the video is very much in a league of its own from any other video out there at the moment. Check it out for yourself via the link below and let me know what you think!

On a fashion note, if you fancy having a browse or a purchase of Hannah Marshall's futuristic, fashion-forward designs have a peek  here: http://www.hannahmarshall.com/

Music - Tinchy Stryder Strikes Again

Gangsta?/Let It Rain featuring Melanie Fiona
Release Date: 24th January 2011

Tinchy Stryder strikes back with the smashing lead track off his third album, Third Strike. The double A-side Gangsta? (featuring the unstoppable Tinie Tempah) and Let It Rain (featuring US vocal sensation and Island Records label mate Melanie Fiona) is a double dose of musical madness.
On the Gangsta? track, the 24 year old East Londoner displays a tougher edge to his lyrical prowess and sound, playing on the difference between what it means to be ‘a gangsta and to be gangster’. In contrast, the uplifting Let It Rain showcases a softer side with Melanie’s soulful vocals soaring alongside Tinchy’s tight lyrical offering, all underpinned by rolling drums and the trademark heavy base line.
Tinchy is striding in all the right directions, with a successful clothing line plus being signed to Jay-Z’s label Roc Nation he is certainly repping what it means to be ‘gangsta’!

Welcome to Music, Fashion and Sex in the City!

As a Music,Fashion and Entertainment Journalist I have interviewed a vast array of celebrities from Trey Songz, Toni Braxton, Shontelle, Fat Joe, Errol Douglas and The Fugees to name a few. As a Journalist one of the perks of the job is meeting such celebrities and sometimes gaining insightful information or gossip that might not be published for various reasons. So as this is my blog, I will endeavour to bring you the juicy bits that the mainstream media might purposely leave out.

I have also worked with and alongside a variety of London's best Fashion designers such as the lovely Hannah Marshall, Erdem, Peter Pilotto, Meadham Kirchhoff, Christopher Raeburn, Eun Jeong, Holly Fulton, Mary Katrantzou and Louise Gray. If you don't already know about theses designers you soon will! Thus, having been around these designers and others over the years, including attending London Fashion Week and various Catwalk shows. I have developed a keen eye for all things fabulous, on trend and fashionable. I will bring you a variety of fashion picks and bargains along the way to keep you looking fashionably fabulous, without leaving your purse fashionably empty!

Also, a topic which always needs much deliberation and attention, sex. Yes, we all want it, more so when we're not getting it, if we are getting it, we're not sure we're getting it right, or we're totally abstaining from it -Whatever! I'll grab the bull by the balls (no pun intended) and talk about it, help you with it (not literally, mind), rather direct you in the right direction, whether it be a book, a website or a man - Whatever!

So, here it is born - Music, Fashion and Sex in the City - All a woman needs in life!
